3 Injured By Gunfire At Gibraltar Trade Center
MOUNT CLEMENS (WWJ) - A loaded gun discharged inside the Gibraltar Trade Center in Mount Clemens, sparking a brief panic throughout the Gun & Knife Show.
It happened Friday afternoon when a customer, believing the gun not loaded, accidentally fired the weapon. But the firing didn't end there.
"At that point, the owner of the handgun retrieved it, and, while trying to check it and make it safe, actually discharged it again," Captain John Roberts told WWJ.
Roberts said this was a dangerous situation. And, while three people, including to women and a 10-year-old, were hit by bullet fragments -- they're expected to be okay. Captain Roberts said the gun was taken into evidence and they are taking the case to the prosecutor's office.
