2 Dead Following Murder-Suicide In SW Michigan

HOLLAND TWP. (AP) - Authorities in southwestern Michigan say a 34-year-old man fatally shot his 32-year-old estranged wife at a relative's home before killing himself.

The Holland Sentinel and The Grand Rapids Press report the shooting happened Thursday night in Ottawa County's Holland Township.

Investigators say the man, who lives in Allegan County, went to the home where the woman had been living with her mother and shot her in the chest before shooting himself.

Others were at the home at the time of the murder-suicide. The sheriff's department says the man died at the scene and the woman was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Names weren't immediately released.
