14 Mile Closed Due To Water Main Break
WARREN (WWJ) - A water main break in the cities of Sterling Heights and Warren caused a major road closure, Tuesday.
Officials said 14 Mile Road between Van Dyke and Mound Road would remain closed until 7:30 p.m. while the main was repaired.
Warren Mayor Jim Fouts told WWJ the main was damaged by crews working on utilities.
"It was accidentally done by a Comcast contractor who punched a hole into a 48-inch line... It will affect all business in the area including Andiamos, Art Van and there's some major businesses in Warren that it'll affect, as well as Sterling Heights," Fouts said.
