11 Years Later, Family Of Murdered Man Still Looking For Answers
DETROIT (WWJ) – The family of a murdered man is still on the hunt for answers more than 11 years after the tragic incident.
Crime Stoppers is asking for anonymous tips to help the family of Tarrick Brown, a.k.a. Nuke-Nuke, who was murdered on Feb. 28, 2005. The organization is offering up to a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
The incident took place in the 5000 block of Drexel Street between Lenox and Coplin Streets on Detroit's east side.
According to family, Brown was alone in his home before shots were heard and a call was placed to 911. Emergency units arrived and found Brown lying on his living room floor dead.
There was no sign of forced entry and nothing was taken. The suspect fled the scene and left the home locked.
Brown attended Denby High School of Detroit where he played on the basketball team. Brown attended Beth Eden Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir and the young adult usher board.
