The water, boulders and 100 foot trees that tore our beloved building in two. It was a sanctuary for so many. We are a close knit group of therapist with a wonderful landlord, Bob Drake. His building is a total loss. No flood insurance as we are well above Boulder Creek. 100 Arapahoe is at the mouth of Boulder Canyon, so this is a river / landslide that opened up off of the back side of Flagstaff Mountain. This occured in the late hours of Thursday as best as we can guess. I can't imagine the sound this must have made. The heroic efforts of friends, families and strangers allowed us to enter into some of the suites through ladders and shattered glass allowed us to retrieve some of the smallest of things, precious.... and some furniture as well!
I know there are many tragedies unfolding as I write this. We all are grateful that we are alive but this is the end of Bob and his family's dream. Our prayers go out to all Coloradans who are suffering so much at this time. "
