Zoo Digs Out From Blizzard
DENVER (CBS4)- The Denver Zoo reopened on Thursday after closing on Wednesday due to the blizzard.
Polar bears and penguins enjoyed the piles of snow along with other cold weather animals.
Crews cleared the parking lot so visitors could get in and out without getting stuck.
One concern for zookeepers was the possibility that heavy snow piled up on the tree branches would cause those branches to break and fall on the animals.
