DENVER (CBS4) - Xcel Energy crews in Denver are preparing for the storm that's expected to hit the metro area this weekend.
The utility put in a request on Friday for at least 90 crews to come in from surrounding states to help local efforts.
Xcel officials said there will be a total of 320 crews on call.
At least 950 people will be out in the field, working to trim trees and respond to downed power lines.
An additional 250 people will work behind the scenes over the weekend answering phones and responding to customers' needs.
