Woman Charged With Lying In Monge Murder Investigation
DENVER (AP) - A woman accused of lying during an investigation into a man who pleaded guilty to killing a Denver teen and attacking a Fort Collins woman has been charged.
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey said Friday that 23-year-old Kerry Humphrey has been charged with two counts of attempting to influence a public servant. She was arrested Oct. 5 and has been released on $5,000 bond.
Prosecutors say Humphrey lied during the investigation of Travis Forbes. He is serving a life sentence for first-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Kenia Monge, who disappeared after leaving a Denver night club. He also pleaded guilty to attempted first-degree murder of a Fort Collins woman.
