Wisconsin Teens Could Face Colorado Charges
GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - Four Wisconsin teens could face charges in Colorado for stealing a car and leading officers on a chase last week.
The group was arrested Saturday in Raton, N.M., just south of Colorado. Police say an officer tracked the Eau Claire teens from an Arby's to the roof of a hotel, where they were seen raising their hands on the roof.
The oldest, 18-year-old Blake Bergeson, was jailed for criminal trespass. The three others were taken to a juvenile detention facility in Taos, N.M.
Authorities had been looking for the teens since Thursday's chase. The diabetes medicine for one of them, a 15-year-old girl, was found in the abandoned stolen car, raising fears she could suffer a seizure.
Weld County prosecutors will decide on charges once the investigation is done.
