Winter Storm Leaves Bus Passengers Stranded

DENVER (CBS4)- The massive winter storm across the Midwest left some bus passengers stranded in Denver. About 200 people have been stranded for three to four days at the Greyhound Bus terminal.

The real problem was not the bitter cold conditions in Colorado, but the winter storm hitting the several states to the east, including Oklahoma, Missouri and Illinois.

some travelers say they've slept on the floor in the bus station and a few were allowed to sleep inside unheated buses. Passengers say Greyhound handed out vouchers for food and hotels, but some say they have eaten little in the past 24 hours.

Passengers say they've been told they might not be able to leave until Thursday or Friday.

The American Red Cross said Wednesday that it is taking cots and blankets to the bus terminal and that Greyhound is providing food.
