Wildfire smoke moves into Colorado
Smoke will filter in from Wyoming and Utah on Sunday and into Monday. Sunday morning the smoke remained light enough that there were no impacts on air quality, but by this afternoon a new wave of smoke is headed toward the Denver metro area, and moderate to thick smoke is expected. This wave of smoke will be noticeable and poor air quality is expected. You may even be able to almost taste and smell the smoke across portions of the state. The smoke is expected to linger through Monday.
Sunday daytime highs will be in the upper 70s and low 80s with mostly sunny conditions. Daytime highs will stay above average in the low 80s through the workweek with dry conditions. By next weekend, changes are on the way with a chance for rain and mountain snow along with cooler temperatures.
