Veterans Day Parade Draws Thousands

DENVER (CBS4) - Thousands of people lined the streets downtown Denver for the annual Veterans Day parade on Saturday.

The event honors all Coloradans who have served the nation.

All branches of the service were represented and there were even some young patriots who took part.

"Anyone who is willing to step up, whether they're 18 or 30, and sign the dotted line and say, 'I'm going to serve for that purpose,' those to me are my heroes," veteran David Fennell said. "Broncos, Nuggets; they're great, I'm a fan, but my heroes are here."

The parade wound its way through the streets of downtown Denver.

The actual Veterans Day is Monday.
