Vandals Break Into Englewood High School
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Three people broke into Englewood High School early Sunday and caused several thousand dollars of damage.
The Englewood Fire Department received a water pressure alarm signaling that water was running at the school at 1:41 a.m. on Sunday.
According to police when emergency workers arrived they found that someone had broken into a computer room and the band room, where they set several small fires.
Surveillance video from the school shows three males who appear to be in their 20s doing the damage.
"Detectives are going to spend Sunday reviewing the video to try to identify the three," said investigator Kevin Sage.
A spokeswoman for the Englewood School District, Julie McGinley, said that both Englewood High School and Englewood Leadership Academy, which are housed in the same building, will be closed on Monday.
