Two Rivers Water Co. Gets Loan For Reservoir Work
DENVER (AP) — Two Rivers Water Co. says the Colorado Water Conservation Board has approved a nearly $1.2 million loan for it to restore a reservoir built in 1905.
The Denver-based company says it plans to put the reservoir back on line for irrigated agriculture.
Two Rivers has been securing water rights that could potentially provide water for municipalities in drought years. In the meantime, the water rights are supporting irrigated farmland that the company is bringing back into production.
