Trial For Man Accused Of Killing Globetrotters Trainer Set To Begin
DENVER (CBS4) - Testimony is expected to begin Wednesday in the murder trial of the man accused of killing a trainer for the Harlem Globetrotters.
Draton Mares, 24, is accused of shooting 42-year-old Thomas Bashline nearly a year ago. Bashline's girlfriend found the body in his home near Frederick.
Bashline and Mares allegedly had a romantic relationship. In court documents prosecutors claim Mares got angry at Bashline and shot him in the head.
The trial is expected to last a week.
