The Arvada Center is known as a great place to see locally produced, high quality productions. However, they also feature year-round family friendly programming as well. Playing through April 14th is a fun and lively musical for kids titled "How I Became a Pirate." It tells the story of Jeremy Jacob and his recruitment into pirate-hood by Captain Braid Beard. Jeremy loves the pirate life until he realizes how much he misses being home. Bring the whole family to this, for it is sure to be a hit with everyone.

The Mizel Arts and Cultural Center is another excellent family friendly performance location with tons of great programming for all ages. The Denver Children's Theater main stage production for 2012 will be "The Snow Queen," based on the epic tale by Hans Christian Anderson. The play involves lessons on loyalty, creativity, environment, diversity, and the true meaning of friendship. The performance space itself was also recently renovated, so this is the perfect opportunity to check out the brand new theater as well.

The Denver Puppet Theater is unlike any location in town. Bring children ages 3 and older to enjoy a fantastic puppet show, but that is just a small portion of everything they offer. The Adams Mystery Playhouse is the only full-time mystery playhouse in Colorado. They feature completely interactive mystery performances with a special selection of mysteries written just for kids and pre-teens.
