The Search For Those Still Missing Continues

LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4)- The search for those still missing continues while those unaccounted for starts to fall as more people are evacuated and services are restores to some communities.

In the meantime old fashioned message boards are serving as the primary lines of communication for those looking for loved ones.

"I came out yesterday," said Ardean Johnson after she was airlifted out of Pinewood Springs.

"And I'm staying with some friends and they said that there were some messages that I needed to check on here at the church," said Johnson.

The relief center at Life Bridge Church in Longmont has several message boards that anyone can check or write a message on.

Those who check in on the alive and well list are reported to Boulder County as found and taken off the missing list.

Most messages found on the board are those trying to locate loved ones, friends and neighbors.

"What we're doing is checking in all the evacuees," said Life Bridge Church spokesman Drew Depler. "Basically to get their name on a list that they are alive and well and doing fine."

More than 1,000 people have passed through the message section of the church.

"From what we're seeing it's accountability, it's connecting neighbors with other neighbors," said Depler.
