Suspects In Police Weapon Theft Linked To Credit Card Theft
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Detectives in Jefferson County are investigating the possibility that credit card theft suspects may be linked to the theft of a Denver Police officer's weapon.
Three vehicles were broken into in south Jefferson County in the early morning hours of Sept. 30. Credit cards stolen during those break-ins were used at various locations in the Denver metro area. Surveillance footage captured a man and woman using the stolen credit cards.
The suspects are also wanted for questioning in the theft of a Denver Police officer's duty weapon and department identification. The weapon was stolen from the same area in the same time frame as the other three vehicle break-ins.
The male is wearing a black T-shirt, jeans and baseball cap turned backwards. He may have a tattoo on the inside of his right bicep.
The female has reddish-brown hair and was wearing gray pants, dark jacket and white tennis shoes. Both were seen driving in a white Jeep Cherokee.
Anyone who recognizes the suspects is asked to call the Jeffco Sheriff's Office tip line at 303-271-5612.
