Suspects At Large After Fatal Montbello Neighborhood Shooting
DENVER (CBS4) - Neighbors say they are concerned after a fatal shooting Wednesday night that police say wasn't random.
Four men in all were shot at just after 9 p.m. at East 51st Avenue and Uvalda Street in the Montbello neighborhood. One if those who was shot died and three others wound up in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The shooting victims were transported from two different areas in the same neighborhood that are about three blocks from each other.
The incident is being investigated by Denver's gang unit.
Officers were interviewing witnesses to piece together what happened leading up to the shootings.
One neighbor said the shootings sounded like fireworks at first.
"We were just hanging out and talking and having a few drinks and then there were the cops and there were gunshots. It was scary," Alyssa Dunlap told CBS4.
Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Denver police. So far no arrests have been made in the case.
