Study Says More Than 20 Percent Of Coloradans Are Obese
DENVER (CBS4) - Colorado is still the leanest state in the country, but waistlines are also growing in the state.
More than 20 percent of Coloradans are now officially obese.
Overall, Colorado ranks 11th in this year's rankings from the United Health Foundation. The study determined Vermont is the healthiest state with Louisiana and Mississippi tied as the least healthiest.
Researchers say 26 percent of Americans get no exercise, and that is leading to higher rates of heart disease, diabetes and some kinds of cancer.
