Standley Lake High School Student Who Set Himself On Fire Dies
WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) - Grief counselors will be on hand at Standley Lake High School after a student who set himself on fire in the school's cafeteria late last month died from his injuries.
Vincett Nett died on Sunday afternoon at the hospital.
When he lit himself on fire in the school school employees rushed in to put out the flames. Some staff used a fire extinguisher, but the teen had extensive burns.
Several other students were in the cafeteria at the time, but none were injured.
Fire officials have said that a 1-gallon Coleman fuel jug was found at the scene.
Westminster Police Department police investigator Cheri Spottke said the official cause of death will come from the coroner's office.
