Snow A Welcome Sight For Some Businesses
PARKER, Colo. (CBS4) - Businesses have been cashing in on the latest storm to hit the Denver metro area.
What was a wet snowfall Sunday night became an icy snow-packed road crust by the morning, prompting a cautious morning commute for many. It's something that hasn't been seen much yet this winter. It was more than a welcome sight for people waiting on business brought by snow.
"Winter brings a lot of money to contractors who are trying to clear out lots," Karl Deschler with Deschler Enterprises LLC said.
Deschler company relies on snow during the winter business.
"A lot of these guys depend on this extra money during the wintertime to get them by," he said. "It's been extremely difficult because there's low cash flow for the first month of no snow."
A lot of the landscape and construction workers are employed by the contractors who plow and clear snow in the winter.
