Smoke Pours From Structure In Erie
ERIE, Colo. (CBS4) - An apartment above a garage in Erie broke out in flames Monday morning just before sunrise.
The apartment is located near Pierce and Briggs, and the fire started at about 5:45 a.m.
Firefighters could be seen removing debris from the burned building about an hour after it started.
The one man who lived there woke up when he heard his dog barking. He was treated for smoke inhalation, but the dog died in the fire.
The building was completely destroyed.
