Silly Bandz Warning For Parents
DENVER (CBS4) - They are often called Silly Bandz and a lot of kids like wearing them on their wrists.
Parents are now being warned to monitor just how many Silly Bandz their kids are wearing and how tightly they fit.
The bands seem harmless and they only cost a couple of dollars.
They're part jewelry, part toy and they're popular with both girls and boys. The bands feature animals or funny characters.
They are harmless unless they are too tight and then the bands can interfere with a child's circulation.
Nationally families are filing complaints with the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Like all toys, parents need to be vigilant that their kids are wearing them correctly, and probably sleeping in them isn't a wise idea.
