Sentencing Delayed For Man Convicted Of Shooting At Police Officers
DENVER (CBS4)- The sentencing for a man convicted of shooting at police officers in two Denver metro area cities has been delayed.
Jurors found Larry Gomez guilty of attempted murder of a police officer and first-degree assault in September.
Gomez was scheduled to be sentenced Friday morning but didn't make it to court.
That hearing has been rescheduled until January.
Gomez shot at a Denver police officer on Nov. 6, 2012 and a Westminster police officer a week later.
Gomez was arrested following a vehicle and foot pursuit. Officers shot him as he tried to run away.
