Ryan Clady To Be A No-Show At Minicamp, Wants Long-Term Deal
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - The Denver Broncos expect near perfect attendance when their minicamp begins on Tuesday, but one player who won't be there is offensive tackle Ryan Clady.
It's Clady's own personal protest because he wants a long-term deal. Clady told ESPN Radio the two sides haven't talked in a while.
"Contract talks, they're not going anywhere right now. I'm just focused on getting my shoulder right and getting in shape. It feels weird not being around the facility," Clady said. "It's definitely something different and it's just part of business, and that's kind of the way I look at it."
He's coming off shoulder surgery, so the Broncos could be waiting to see how he recovers before they consider a multi-year contract.
