Radio Shack Robbery Suspect Pleads Guilty
DENVER (CBS4)- A man pleaded guilty on Thursday for his role in last fall's Radio Shack robbery and hostage situation.
Micheal Annan made the deal with prosecutors on Thursday. He faces up to 40 years in prison when he is sentenced next month.
Annan admitted to being one of two men who tried to rob a Radio Shack in east Denver on Sept. 7, 2012.
Annan and Taveaun Williams entered the store near Colfax and Glencoe with red bandanas, a .35 caliber and 9mm handgun.
While robbing the store they took an employee hostage and shot at police officers.
The six-hour standoff ended when the two men surrendered to police.
Williams pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery and first degree assault in connection with the robbery and stand off in May.
