Power Outage Caused By Raccoon

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - A raccoon is to blame for a power outage that left 2,700 people in the dark Friday morning.

Copter4 captured images at 6:10 a.m. of the neighborhoods in Aurora that were affected.

Xcel Energy officials say the animal got into some equipment at a substation. That knocked power out to homes, businesses and some traffic lights.

Power was restored by 7 a.m.
