Police: Woman Sexually Assaulted Behind Grocery Store

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police would like the public's help locating a suspect in a sexual assault.

Sonny Jackson with Denver police said last Thursday a woman was followed from the bus stop at South Sheridan Boulevard and West Dartmouth Avenue to the parking lot behind a closed grocery store at 3125 South Sheridan.

"Once the victim got behind the grocery store, the suspect sexually assaulted her," Jackson said in a statement.

The victim described the suspect as a white man, approximately 35 years old, 5-foot-10, and 200 pounds. He was wearing a black Carhartt coat, black jeans, black work boots, and brown hair in a ponytail. He had a noticeable gap between his front teeth.
