Police Search For Music Teacher Accused Of Sexually Assaulting A Child
DENVER (CBS4)- The FBI is looking for a man who is wanted for allegedly sexually assaulting children who were at his home for music lessons in Colorado.
Police want to locate James David Tiner, otherwise known as Dave and "Music Dave."
Tiner, 59, is wanted for crimes against a child that show a pattern of abuse.
The victim's mother contacted police on April 16 alleging that her daughter had been sexually abused between Sept. 2009 and June 2010.
During the time frame the victim was eight years old.
Tiner allegedly had at least four sexual encounters with the victim who attended his home for music lessons in Palisade.
According to the FBI, a search of Tiner's home allegedly revealed multiple videos and photographs displaying the victim in the nude while performing sexual acts with Tiner.
Additional photographs of unknown pre-pubescent nude females were also allegedly found in Tiner's home. He had listed himself in a local newspaper as a music teacher for hire to which he was paid for these services.
On April 20 a state arrest warrant was issued for Tiner by the District/County Court of Mesa County after Tiner was charged with sexual assault on a child, sexual assault on a child- pattern of abuse, and sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.
On June 11 a federal arrest warrant was issued after Tiner was charged with the unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Tiner is described as a white man, 5-foot-11, 155 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
Tiner may be driving a red Isuzu Rodeo with Colorado registration 577YGP or an unknown Arkansas plates. He may also be in the company of his dog "Kili."
Tiner is known to be an avid outdoors man and possibly staying in campgrounds or national parks. He is also known to abuse drugs.
Tiner has ties to Little Rock, Arkansas, and was last seen in that area on June 15.
