Police, FBI Search For 'Top Heavy Bandit'

DENVER (CBS4)- Police in Denver have teamed up with the FBI to track down a bank robber known as "The Top Heavy Bandit."

He's believed to have committed four bank robberies in the Denver metro area.

The suspect is described as a white man, 30 to 40 years old, 5'8" to 6' tall, with some tattoos on his left shoulder and right forearm.

He wears glasses in some of the robberies. He's called "The Top Heavy Bandit" because he had a large build and a potbelly.

Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and that sentence increases if a dangerous weapon is used.
