Peyton Manning's Wife And Children Stay Out Of The Spotlight

DENVER (CBS4) - Peyton Manning won't be the only one making the move to Denver. His wife and two children will be joining him as well, but fans shouldn't expect to see too much of his family once they arrive.

Manning's wife Ashley and their 1-year-old twins weren't present for Tuesday's news conference announcing the quarterback's official signing with the Broncos.

In Indianapolis the Mannings were a very private family and it's assumed they will remain private in Denver.

Peyton Manning is part of a football dynasty.

His father Archie played quarterback for the New Orleans Saints and his brother Eli also plays for the New York Giants. Peyton is married to Ashley and they have 1-year-old twins.

CBS4's Suzanne McCarroll asked Manning about the big decision and the very big family move to Colorado.

"I think they'll be just fine. It's a great place to live, so it will be exciting," Peyton said.

The Manning family is closely-knit and has a sense of humor as well...

For an ESPN promo Peyton and Eli are shown clowning around behind their parents' back.

Peyton says he still looks for advice from his father Archie.

"My dad and I talk a lot," he said.

Peyton is well-loved in Indianapolis. His demeanor and character suggest he'll be a popular and positive force in Colorado as well.

He told CBS4's Suzanne McCarroll he was going to stay in Denver and concentrate on football while his family remains in Indiana for the time being and eventually comes out west.
