Pep Rally Gets Fans Excited Day Before Broncos Playoff Game
DENVER (CBS4) - The Broncos are hosting a "United in Orange" pep rally at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Friday evening.
The event, presented in coordination with King Soopers, will run from 5-8 p.m. and will take place at the Sports Legends Mall on the south side of the stadium.
The rally is free and open to the public and will feature the Broncos cheerleaders, some alumni players and mascots Miles and Thunder. The band Funkiphino will perform and get fans excited for the game.
Food and drinks will be available, and attendees will have a chance to win prizes, playoff tickets and other Broncos memorabilia.
Fans around town are wearing orange colored clothing in droves after Denver Mayor Michael Hancock has proclaimed Friday as "United in Orange Friday" to support the Denver Broncos in Saturday's playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens.
"From training camp all the way through, this has been an inspiring season, and we couldn't be more excited to see the Broncos positioned as the team to beat in the AFC," Hancock said. "The road to the Super Bowl runs through Denver. Let's go deep to show the support our team has earned. It's time for Broncos fans to step up as the 12th man!"
