Parker Police Search For Man Who Exposes Himself To Children

PARKER, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Parker are searching for a man who is exposing himself to children.

Detectives released a sketch of the man in hopes the public can help them track down the suspect before he does it again.

Police are concerned he could be connected to other incidents. Officers posted alerts on every door in an apartment complex in Parker where the man exposed his genitals to a little girl on Tuesday.

"He did tell her to come over to him. At that point he pulled his pants down and exposed himself," said Parker Police spokeswoman Sherry Cocoran.

The child threatened to call police and the suspect ran away.

The suspect is described as having a dark complexion, possibly Hispanic, with dark hair, 5-foot-9 and 200 pounds with a muscular build.

In one of the other incidents he is described as having a goatee.

It was the third suspicious encounter involving a man with a similar description in just eight days.

In the first incident police said he told a child to come closer to him. The second time, police said he mentioned to a child to remove her pants. All the incidents involved girls younger than 13 years of age.

"What we're worried about is that this is escalating. If this is in fact the same subject, we don't want it to escalate to further crimes," said Cocoran.

Neighbors said they will do all they can to prevent that by staying vigilant and by talking to their children again.

"That's not what we're hoping to have in this community but there are people out there like that. Hopefully we'll be able to move forward, find out whoever did it and move on from there," said one apartment resident.
