Highway 119 Reopens After Tanker Rollover
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - An overturned tanker forced the closure of eastbound Highway 119 in Boulder on Tuesday morning. Those lanes reopened just before 5 p.m.
The tanker overturned just northeast of Boulder at 63rd Street. The hazardous materials team was called to the crash to help with cleanup of the liquid spill but it was later determined that the liquid was not hazardous.
The Boulder County Sheriff's Office tweeted out an update on the overturned tanker.
Highway 119 is the main highway from Boulder to Longmont. The eastbound lanes of Highway 119 were expected to be closed until 4 p.m. Drivers are urged to take 63rd north to Monarch Road and east back on Highway 119.
What caused the tanker to overturn is being investigated.
It is unclear whether the driver was injured.
