DENVER (CBS4)- The paramedics credited with quick thinking that helped save the life of a seriously injured police officer after a shooting earlier this month visited him in the hospital on Tuesday.
Denver Police Officer Tony Lopez Jr. was making a "routine traffic stop" near 37th Avenue and Federal Boulevard on Dec. 8 when a suspect from that vehicle opened fire and sped off. Lopez was shot multiple times in the arms and legs and nearly lost all of his blood. The suspect, Jason Wood, was shot in the ankle.
