Mummies Undergo CT Scans To Better Understand History
DENVER (CBS4)- Scientists at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science will soon have a better idea of what's inside the mummies dating back thousands of years.
The mummies usually on display at the museum were taken to Children's Hospital in Aurora by ambulance where they were subject to CT scans.
Scientists hope to analyze the data and better understand the history and culture of the mummies from ancient Egypt.
The mummies were scanned 25 years ago but with updated technology, scientists hope they can learn more. The findings should be released by the end of the year.
