Doctors 'Optimistic' Officer Will Recover After Suffering Heart Attack On Duty
EDGEWATER, Colo. (CBS4) - An officer who suffered a heart attack while trying to arrest a suspect is improving.
Officer Michael Nesbitt went into cardiac arrest Thursday night while trying to take Connor Doughety into custody.
Dougherty allegedly tried to fight officers after crashing his scooter in a high school parking lot while under the influence.
Nesbit remains on life support in critical condition, but doctors are optimistic he'll recover.
