Michael Hancock Picks Up Key Endorsement
DENVER (CBS4) - Michael Hancock has picked up a key endorsement as he heads towards the Denver mayoral runoff election.
Doug Linkhart gave his endorsement to Hancock on Friday. Linkhart came in fourth in Tuesday's election, getting more than 10,000 votes. He's worked with Hancock for years on the Denver City Council.
"As a councilmember he has reached out to the entire city, working with all parts of our city to improve neighborhoods and build projects that help our economy and help our quality of life," Linkhart said.
"This is a very smart, very natural coming together partnership. He is a neighborhood guy. He gets it and he has agreed to help me become a better neighborhood guy," Hancock said.
Hancock came in a very close second to Chris Romer. The two meet in a run-off election on June 7.
