Man Who Danced On Grave Won't Be Charged

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - The Mesa County district attorney's office has decided not to file charges against a man who filmed himself dancing on a burial vault at a cemetery to win concert tickets.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Trish Mahre says 27-year-old Christopher Redd had management's consent. Mahre says the case would be difficult to prosecute because Redd's actions did not seem to outrage their sensibilities.

According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, the video shows Redd standing on a burial vault using a shovel to simulate a guitar.

Redd could have faced charges of desecration of venerated object, a misdemeanor. Investigators later determined a woman was buried at the grave one day after Redd made the video.
