Man Tries To Sexually Assault Woman At Bus Stop

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police would like the public's help locating a suspect in an attempted sexual assault.

Sonny Jackson with Denver police said on Wednesday a woman was waiting at bus stop in front of 2294 South Broadway Street when a man attempted to sexually assault her.

The suspect described as a Hispanic male, 22-23 year old, about 5-foot-10 tall to 6 feet tall, 180 pounds. He had short black hair and acne scars on his face and was wearing a dark gray sweat jacket, gray hoodie with black tribal designs, dark black jeans, and black and white tennis shoes.

The suspect was possibly wearing prescription eye glasses described as being thin with dull silver colored frames.

People who live and work in the neighborhood are still getting over another assault nearby several months ago.

"That guy got caught but now we're going to have another predator in our neighborhood and I'd like to see more police presence on Broadway," resident Joe Young said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Denver police at (720) 913-2000. Remain anonymous and call Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-STOP (7867). Text to CRIMES (274637) then title DMCS and enter the message or send an e-mail to metro-denvercrimestoppers.com.
