Man Tries To Rob Palisades National Bank
PALISADE, Colo. (CBS4) - Authorities on the Western Slope are searching for a man who tried to rob a bank.
The incident happened Saturday in the small town of Palisade near Grand Junction. Police say a man with a gun forced an employee at the Palisades National Bank to open the vault. Coworkers triggered the alarm.
When police arrived the suspect got a hold of a police officer's gun. He then stole an employee's car, ditched it on the side of the road, and was picked up by an accomplice.
Nobody was hurt and the man didn't escape with any money.
