GOLDEN, Colo.(CBS4) - A man drowned in Clear Creek Canyon on Sunday night.

Police say the man, who hasn't been identified, may have fallen into the river after a car crash.

The man was driving east on Highway 6, west of Golden, when he crashed into a concrete barrier. Police say the man got out of the car and jumped the railing toward the canyon.

He likely fell into the water and drowned.
