Man Accused Of Firing At Deputies During Standoff Faces 40 Charges
GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - Forty charges have been filed against a man who fired at deputies during a standoff in Jefferson County in early July.
Ralph Barnhardt is facing 19 counts of attempted murder, 14 counts of first-degree assault and other charges.
The standoff on July 5 lasted 6 hours. Deputies were called after two landscapers reported a fight between a man and woman. Deputies found Barnhardt barricaded inside a home. Police say he fired at SWAT officers and they fired back. Nobody was hit.
