Loveland Announces 2012 Valentine's Verse

LOVELAND, Colo. (AP) - Officials in Loveland have unveiled the message that will be stamped on Valentine's Day cards that pour into the city each year.

The verse released Tuesday reads "Valentine greetings/From a city with heart,/Loveland, Colorado/Home of fabulous art!", a reference to all the bronze sculptures found in the northern Colorado city. The stamp also includes an image of a cupid wearing a cowboy hat who's blowing hearts toward a globe.

Pre-addressed and stamped Valentine's Day cards mailed to the postmaster in Loveland will be inked with the verse as well as the Loveland postmark and sent on to their final destinations. This is the 66th year the city has offered the re-mailing program.

The deadline for sending domestic cards is Feb. 9. Cards being sent overseas need to arrive in Loveland by Feb. 4.
