Lightning Briefly Evacuates Vail Mountain Slopes
VAIL, Colo. (AP) — Lightning prompted Vail Mountain to evacuate its ski slopes briefly, but it restarted its ski lifts a short time later.
Hundreds of people were seen trying to get off the mountain around 3:30 p.m. Friday. The lifts started running again about 20 minutes later, and the resort kept its lifts running 15 minutes later than usual to make up for the closure.
