Nice and Dry Right Through the Weekend Ahead
By Ed Greene
DENVER (CBS4) - That cold front came through overnight and cooled the high to 84 degrees after Monday's high of 93. Scattered storms were spotty over the eastern plains, but the farther south you went the heavier they became and several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were posted during the afternoon and early evening hours...and that is the moisture from Hurricane "Newton" working it's way into the northerly flow over New Mexico and into southeast portions of our home state. Looks like the same set up tomorrow with storms confined to the extreme southeastern corner of the state.
Look for fair and warmer conditions for Denver on Wednesday with a high into the low to mid 80s. Warmer, but just as dry on Thursday with a high in the mid to upper 80s. Then another cool front pushes through the state for Friday cooling our high back to the mid to upper 70s but staying mostly sunny. The weekend looks to be about perfect: Mostly sunny Saturday, high around 80; sunny and warmer Sunday, high in the mid to upper 80s.
