Lakewood Police Suspect Woman Killed Husband In Their Home
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - A 73-year-old Lakewood is in jail and accused of killing her husband.
Police say Carol Weigum and her husband's adult son called 911 on Wednesday when his parents started fighting.
When officers arrived they found Wallace Weigum inside the home with serious head injuries.
He later died at the hospital.
"We are looking into the different weapons used," Lakewood police spokesman Ty Countryman said. "It was not a firearm. Not a knife. They are looking at the other items in the house that were used and that's just part of the investigation right now."
Police say there have been no incidents at the home in the past.
They are interviewing family members to learn more about what happened.
