Lakewood Police Search For Bank Robbery Suspect
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Lakewood are teaming up with the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force to track down a bank robbery suspect.
The robbery happened at the Colorado State Bank and Trust at 201 Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood at 4:50 p.m. Aug. 16.
The man entered the bank, presented a demand note and ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as a white male, 18 to 25 years old, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-10, about 150-180 pounds with a thin build.
Bank robbery is punishable by a 20-year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
