Job Fair In Adams County Is Over But Jobs Are Still Available
ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Nearly 5,000 jobs were available at a job fair that was held in Adams County on Wednesday and those who missed the fair can apply online.
Job seekers found plenty of open positions at the job fair. The Colorado region of Verizon has 100 job openings.
"Full time with benefits and part time with benefits," Theda Zavala with Verizon said.
Safeway has 500 jobs available right now.
"They range anywhere from entry level positions, which can include courtesy clerk, checker, produce clerk, all the way up to department managers and second assistant store managers," Felix Lopez with Safeway said.
Wells Fargo has openings.
"We're looking for entry level teller and personal banker positions, customer service, sales experience; and positions are constantly changing, we promote from within," Cara Dafoe with Wells Fargo said.
The military is looking for good men and women.
"The Army has over 150 jobs that also transfer to civilian jobs," Angelina Cillo with Army Reserves said.
The Transportation Security Administration in Colorado has 30 to 50 positions open. Some are part-time positions but with full-time benefits.
Health care is a fast growing industry. Also growing fast is retail, customer service, software and Web development
"I'm looking for accounting, accounts payables or accounts receivables," Drenna Covey said.
Covey was encouraged by all the possibilities she found at the fair.
